Hi! My name is Sydney Mitchell, and I am the 6th-grade school counselor for Bear and Coyote Hall. I proudly serve as one of the sponsors for the ITMS Student Ambassadors, the assistant coach for the girls’ basketball team, and a coach for Girls on the Run in the spring.

Indian Trail is home for me—it’s where I began my own journey in public school as a 6th- and 7th-grade student. This campus holds a special place in my heart, and so does every student who walks through these doors.

Hey Hawks! My name is Brianna Mech and I am the 8th grade school counselor for Redfox, Bobcat, and Mustang halls. I currently serve as a coach for the Lady Hawks Volleyball Team and as an ITMS Student Ambassador Sponsor.

One of my top priorities as a School Counselor is to support 8th grade students academically, socially, emotionally, and prepare them for their transition to high school.

I graduated from ETSU in 2017 where I obtained my Bachelors degree in Psychology. In 2022 I graduated from Liberty University with my Masters degree in School Counseling

Hi. My name is Sarabeth Remine, and I am a Care Counselor for grades 6 through 8. I provide counseling support to students experiencing temporary or ongoing personal issues at school and at home, enabling them to enter the learning environment with fewer distractions.

My top priority is to assist students academically, socially, and emotionally, and prepare them for their transition to the next grade. I am passionate about supporting families as their student continues to grow and develop.

I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Developmental Psychology with a focus in Child and Adolescent Psychological Development from Liberty University. I've worked as a counselor and parenting instructor since 2018, joining Johnson City Schools as a Care Counselor in the 2024-2025 school year.

I have found my home here at Indian Trail Middle School, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve the students and staff who pass through these halls. Please feel free to reach out to me if you and your student are in need of support. I'm here to help.
